A weekend full of music and dance performances, engaging storytelling, African specialties and African art.

A big African weekend is taking place in the Dvůr Králové Safari Park on 14 and 15 August. During it, the African marketplace will come to life with the colors and scents of Africa. The show of African culture will last until August 19. Visitors can look forward to concerts, dance performances, authentic African shopping, selected African chocolate, delicious fruit or reading from a new book of fairy tales written in Africa by Josef Vágner.

Gourmets will also see African fruit markets or a number of stalls with African dishes. The Sudanese Honorary Consulate will offer delicious freshly roasted coffee or traditional henna painting on the skin. Non-profit organizations working to support children in Africa have prepared a rich program full of activities for young and old. There will be Czech UNICEF, Centrum na rovinu, Klub friends Tengenenge, Nasajem s masajem, Marry´s Meals or Siriri.

Children are weaving African braids, face painting or making African beads. The culture will be represented by examples of modern and traditional African music performed by the Zimbabwean band Mamozi, an exclusively composed performance by Scott Ibex with the band, an impressive performance by oriental dancers and the weekend will be extended by the performance of Futurel's Sibanda. All performances, including popular drumming workshops, are free.
